Hey, Hey, Hey! Thanks for pressing play!
‘Songs From Under Weigh is about to blow you away,
Bam-Bam like a bullet from the B-town street,
Bobby Blake mixing music where the beef smells sweet,
So come on, get up out ya seat,
Let me play some music while you move your feet!

My name’s EdTang! (EdTang yall, his name be EdTang)
My name’s EdTang! (EdTang yall, he goes by ‘EdTang)

My name’s EdTang and I like to groove,
Making music in a hurry cause I’m on the move.
Now I’ll bring down the house or I’ll fill up the room,
But baby don’t get caught without them dancing shoes!
So turn up the tunes, turn up the tunes, turn up the..

EdTang! (EdTang yall, his name be EdTang)
EdTang! (EdTang, go on and get funky with it)

My name’s EdTang!
Track Name: Baaksuun Baby
Baaksuun Baby
Darling don’t go while I’m gone, I’ll be back soon baby and it won’t be long,
Baby don’t go before I’m back, I’m on that next train coming, running down the track.

When this old ship pulls into port you’ll be the first one that I’m kissing,
For the past long seven months you’re the only one that I’ve been missing.
But I dreamt of you at night, so much I can’t remember.
Now I’m looking for that flame again, my pockets are all filled up with embers!
My ears are habanero peppers!

Darling don’t go while I’m gone, I’ll be back soon baby and it won’t be long,
Baby don’t go before I’m back, I’m on that next train coming, running down the track.

I’ve been careful to respect you; I shunned all the other women.
Without you by my side I feel I’m only halfway living.
So don’t you go leaving, cause I don’t think I could take it,
Without you by my side baby you know that I don’t think that I could make it!
And darling this here homeboy ain’t faking!

Darling don’t go while I’m gone, I’ll be back soon baby and it won’t be long,
Baby don’t go before I’m back, I’m on that next train coming, running down the track

I spent my time in every port drowning all my sorrows.
I was drinking every day and dreading my tomorrows,
But I’m so close to my true drug, the one that I call baby,
That I’m twitching and I’m fiending so that all the people that see me think I’m crazy!
But I won’t let know sane man’s words faze me!

Darling don’t go while I’m gone, I’ll be back soon baby and it won’t be long,
Baby don’t go before I’m back, I’m on that next train coming, running down the track
Track Name: The Life of a Zombie
The Life of a Zombie
When your thoughts of home won’t leave you alone,
And words are on the tip of your tongue,
Look upon the pictures you brought along with you,
And remember where you come from.

Cause this ship is going down,
And I don’t care to be around,
When this old hull meets Davey Jones.

Despite the image in your mind everything will turn out fine,
And there’s no need for the tremble in your voice,
If there’s one thing to believe in it’s those feelings that you’re feeling,
This fall you’re gonna have to make a choice.

Cause this ship is going down,
And I don’t care to be around,
When this old hull meets Davey Jones.

When you’re living like a zombie and your passion is just your hobby,
You dream about the future every day.
Then pick up your possessions and take solace in the lesson,
That the better path is the one unpaved.

Cause this ship is going down,
And I don’t care to be around,
When this old hull meets Davey Jones.
Track Name: Down South
Down South
Should I go to Salamanca, or should I say stay right here?
The chance to choose has been cut loose like dogs in parks I fear
I need to find myself a woman, who would give me company,
Who’s smart and sharp and beautiful, and around five foot three.
We could just sail across the border, straight through to Mexico,
Cutting ties and telling lies in Spanish as we go.
We would pay no mind to them federales who could not apprehend
Me and you on our journey through, loves victims to the end.

We’d go down south.
Never would they find us to confine us anyhow.
We’d go down south.
They would have to see it to believe our lives in the south.

Now I don’t know just where we’re going, but it’s always on my mind,
It seems destiny is destined to be crept up on from behind.
Sometimes I picture when I’m sleeping the road that we must take,
But even Nostradamus couldn’t shake his amnesia when he’d wake
He’d say, “Babe, I got this feeling, but I can’t put my finger on it…
But it seems our dreams are cake and cream as long as we both want it.”
So let’s pack our bags with what we need and not one item more,
And swear we’ll do these two lives true and settle by the shore,

Somewhere so far down south.
Never would they find us to confine us anyhow.
We’d go down south.
They would have to see it to believe our lives in the south.

Now as past man has predicted, our sweet time here won’t be long,
So let’s spend our days upon the waves, and at night singing songs
Around the campfire light as it burns bright in pits dug on the beach,
And as the world digs holes with war’s death tolls we’ll stay two souls out of reach.
Como: no vamos a recuerdarse a lugar a somos de,
Porque adonde vamos es mas bonita y nueve, que
Providence or London, P.B or Baltimore,
Costa Rica, Argentina, and the Jersey shore.

Come on down south.
Never would they find us to confine us anyhow.
We’d go down south.
They would have to see it to believe our lives in the south.
Track Name: PinkPrincess11
Pink Princess11
It was late one lonely evening as I logged onto my pc,
To chat with those hot sexy women as advertised on my TV.
Her name was PinkPrincess11, and we connected right away,
And I could tell I was arousing her by the funny things she’d say,
Like, “babe I want to strip you and have you take me on the floor”.
By the details she went into, I knew I must have more.
So at the end of my free minutes I ensured my credit card number was right,
And I punched that three digit security code so we could chat every night!

Babe your beauty must be on the inside,
Cause it sure it on the outside where I wanted it to be.
Babe your beauty must be on the inside,
Cause it sure ain’t on the outside where I thought that it might be.

It became my daily routine, and my friends called me a jerk,
Cause I’d rush right home to my pc after getting off work.
And I would chat about my feelings. She’d say how much she’d like to bone,
But there was a special way she’d type it, a sense of caring in her tone.
I could tell that this was true love; I had found my lost soul mate.
So after two weeks of conversating I asked her out on a real date.
I was nervous she’d reject me; the thought almost made me sick.
So when she said “yes” I was so excited I forgot to ask for a pic!

Babe your beauty must be on the inside,
Cause it sure ain’t on the outside where I thought that it might be.
Babe your beauty must be on the inside,
Cause it sure it on the outside where I wanted it to be.

We planned to meet a local Starbucks,
I’d be wearing a red hat.
She’d be obese with big buck teeth,
But she didn’t tell me that.
No she didn’t tell me she’d be balding,
Or have a deep voice like a man.
She didn’t say she’d have that pizza face,
She didn’t think I’d understand.
Well, her mustache was thick and greasy,
And she reeked of breakfast meat.
She had back hair creeping up her neck,
She had green warts on her feet.
But these things they didn’t matter,
I was blinded to her sight,
By the beauty that she showed me,
From chatting all those nights!

Babe your beauty must be on the inside,
Cause it sure it on the outside where I wanted it to be.
Babe your beauty must be on the inside,
Cause it sure ain’t on the outside where I thought that it might be.
Babe, I love you for what’s on the inside.
Track Name: Yikes! Thars Pirates About
Yikes! Thars Pirates About
I was just sixteen when I first left home and found a job on a fishing boat.
They promised me adventure and all the fish that I could hold.
And we sailed down, down, down to the Gulf of Mexico.
I was doing fine until the time I fell head first from the boat.

I was splashing in the water as my boat did sail away.
I spent three days upon the waves just trying to stay awake.
And I thought how, how, how would I make it out alive.
Then to my surprise on the horizon a black sail met my eye.

That night as I climbed aboard, I realized I was with thieves,
Black patches upon their eyes, a skull and crossbones in the breeze.
And they said arrr, arrr, arrr, are you ready to die?
With grit in my teeth, a voice from beneath managed “why” for a reply.

“I can swing a sword and fire a gun as good as any man.
I know the ships to hit and what we’ll get, and how to hatch a plan.”
And I pointed east, east, east, to where my ship had gone.
“There me mateys, we will find a treasure ship to fire on!”

So they took me in and issued me a bandana and a sword.
I petitioned for a parrot but there weren’t enough aboard.
And I told tales, tales, tales, of all the riches we would find.
I could see they believed me and it bought me some more time.

It took three days until their gaze fixed on the ship in sight.
Despite their haste, with no time to waste, I convinced them to strike at night.
And they cried, “why, why, why, must we sit and wait?”
To catch its prey every good trap requires some good bait.

So I then dawned some makeup and a wig to play the damsel in distress.
I explained the plan as I swatted the hands of those trying to lift my dress,
And I said, “now, now, now, here’s all we have to do,
Listen close or we’ll be toast and this pirate life is through”
It then dawned on me that I had not the slightest inkling of a plan,
It was then that I resorted to the oldest trick known to man,
And I screamed, “OH MY GOD! WHAT’S THAT OVER THERE?”
And when they turned to look, I was quick to book and left a dust cloud in the air.

I hit that water, and as I began swimming,
I could hear those pirates singing.
I thought that pirate life was for me.
But that pirate life was just not for me.
Track Name: Astor Ashtor
Astor Ashtor
Astor Ashtor one day got to thinking about the choices he chose before.
Fifty years, a good marriage, jailed on this apartments second floor.
A five year old plaid recliner, poised in front of a glowing tube,
Reflecting on his life he looked at his wife, and restlessness whispered what to do,
“Undust your old square leather suitcase and fill it with the things you’ll need.
Pack it up tight, for when the moment is right, this boring life you’re gonna leave”

And from the bedroom you could hear his wife cry,
“Astor don’t you leave, don’t you die on me”,
But Astor had just realized all his life he lived a lie,
So Astor set off to find out why.

He grew up wild-eyed in Pennsylvania before shipping off to fight the war,
He learned the meaning of survival, but not what’s worth surviving for.
He lost some good friends there in battle, but made it home by the age of nineteen.
He got a job working as a farmhand. He worked real hard and he kept his nose clean.
And then from nowhere he was blinded. The picture there, him down on one knee,
Still in place up on the mantle, next to where his keys should be.

And in the darkness he could see his wife cry,
“God’s made a mistake, Astor it’s not your time”
But hadn’t realized how much time he’d watch gone by,
So Astor set off to find out why.

A cold wind blows through the front door. A TV blasting the morning news;
Something about a corporate scandal and a war we’re bound to lose.
As Astor stands cold upon the platform, that same wind curls and blows through his hair.
Both arms crossed nervous against his suitcase, he tries to warm, strong, and un-scared.
And in the distance he hears the siren, or is it a train approaching fast on the track.
He pauses briefly before boarding. He shakes his head and he takes a look back.

And from below him he can hear his wife say,
“Astor why’d you leave me here alone to stay”,
She couldn’t understand why he had left after so much time,
So Ms. Ashtor set off to find out why.
Track Name: Graduation
Graduation
She sends her feelings to the ceilings where they’ll stay,
And she’ll wish her deepest secrets until they just go away.
But come that day, I know she’ll have nothing to say,
And on that day, she’ll go away.

Despite all the doors that have been open,
I have yet to find your key,
And all my thoughts seem so uncertain,
When I arrive you’ll go away.

I just want to get home to my baby.

She sees the shadows of the gallows in her sleep,
And the road she sees ahead, she says the incline has become too steep,
She digs down deep to find promises she could not keep.
And in the end I’ll fall asleep.

And everything that I’ve been taught has fallen
Into deep pits along the way,
And sometimes your eyes, they look so hollow.
Sometimes I can’t look away.

I just want to get home to my baby.

In mind’s eye things were so perfect,
All our lives planned out ahead,
Fairytale castles built on oceans,
All these dreams dreamt in our beds.

I just want to get home to my baby.

She sees her leaving as a season for regret,
And the gamble made before she left is one I’d never bet.
Her plans set, as though we had never met.
She went out and I just slept.

If I could just hold you for this moment,
All these omens would be revealed,
All my wounds would dry and clear up,
All my scars would become healed.

I just want to get home to my baby.
Track Name: That Dog Gone Darn Day
That Dog Gone Darn Day
One of these days my legs will stop kicking,
My hands will stop clapping,
And my mouth will stop yapping,
One of these days my heart will stop ticking,
My mind will stop thinking on that day.

And like every day before it,
Real early in the morning,
The first thing I wonder when I wake;
Good Lord, are these the hours I should lose these mortal powers?
Lord is this gonna be my day?

Now there’s many ways to go,
Which one’s yours, you’ll never know,
It could be a bullet or a train!
You could get hit by a car,
When leaving your favorite bar,
Yeah brother, even tonight could be your day.

Now when I kneel before my maker,
Judged a giver or a taker,
I planned out exactly what I’ll say,
“Good God it’s been a pleasure,
Wish I could have lived forever,
But every man is bound to have his day.”
Track Name: Outro
Outro
Hey there, I hope you like my tunes.
Keep an ear out for the next album cause It’s coming soon.
A big thank you to Bob Blake, my bud,
And the rest of the musicians like my bro D dubs.
I’m giving kiss and hugs to my friends and fam,
Who come out to the venue when the Tang Band jam!

Screaming EDTANG!
(EdTang will never stop getting funky!)
Track Name: Solar Molnar
Solar Molnar
Solar Molnar, he gets his energy from the sun.

He can’t work indoors,
There’s a very good chance that he’d die.
Unless there’s a window from the ceiling to the floor,
He better stay outside.

Because he’s Solar Molnar,
He gets his energy from the sun.

Some people call him Sonar Molnar,
Because he has a fine appreciation for things underneath the sea.
But if I were you pal; I wouldn’t go that far,
He breathes the oxygen like you and me.

He’s Solar Molnar,
He gets his energy from the sun

Once while eating a steak someone said, “Hey Meat-Man Molnar”,
But if you perpetrate that you’re mistaken.
He gets his energy from all things solar,
But not from veal, beef jerky, or bacon.

He’s Solar Molnar,
He gets his energy from the sun.
