Vaya 03:19
Vaya Con Dios Since that car crash in Costa Rica, Never dreamed we see Argentina, but when the plane touched down in Rio, the Corcovada would say, “God Bless those three amigos, and Vaya con Dios.” But Mathew had left is in San Jose. Matthew left us in San Jose. Now I never lived till I left home and set off on this world to roam, I hummed an unknown song in a midnight rain. Three tickets on some southbound bus, our whole lives stretched in front of us, We were baptized by the fire in a sea of change. You can’t go back, its full speed forward to some midlife heart attack. But the ropes of St. Christopher you placed around my neck, Baby, they brought me back to you. My sickness from the altitude was lifted fast in old Peru, When I first met the woman that I’d call wife. We were living fast, young and free, three rat race roster absentees, Reckless in the moment, we’d seen the light. You can’t go back, its full speed forward to some distant heart attack. But the bones of St. Christopher you stitched upon my chest, Baby, they brought me back to you God Bless those three amigos, and Vaya con Dios. But Mathew had left is in San Jose. Matthew left us in San Jose. Now growing up is a piece of cake, like bubblegum and roller skates, When the future becomes the present, it becomes the past. And a lucky man might get one shot to roll the dice and give it all he’s got, But most just play it safe and say it went so fast. You can't go back, it's full speed forward to some distant heart attack.

Crow Till We Croak He don’t want no house - The wind and rain could always blow it away He don’t want no car – The blacktop road could only take him so far He don’t want these things – Your fortune cookie feelings and your phony diamond rings He don’t want no love – He’s seen what happens when they release the doves Now its rock-em sock-em robots, and eighteen-wheeler trucks Borrowed books and a stolen rosary. Cigarettes and your running shoes, no place to be with nothing to lose, We were growing up, now we’re getting old. He don’t want no heartache – his body’s building code couldn’t stand an earthquake He don’t want no lies – His closet don’t hold no superman disguise, He don’t want to wait – This tech generation needs a high speed fate He don’t want to want – What he can’t get, girl, when he can’t hunt Now its rock-em sock-em robots, and eighteen-wheeler trucks Borrowed books and a stolen rosary. Cigarettes and your running shoes, no place to be with nothing to lose, We were growing up, now we’re getting old.

Lincoln 02:55
Lincoln Baby Lincoln, Baby Lincoln, Here’s what I’ve been thinking, You’re gonna grow up to be a great man. And every shot that you take, I pray to good God you make, Because Lincoln, I know that you can. Baby Lincoln, Baby Lincoln, I’ll tell ya what I’ve been thinking, May you learn lessons from all life’s mistakes. And may you follow your dreams, no matter how large they seem, Because Lincoln, this world for the taking. Now you just started walking, but Lincoln, when you start talking, This whole wide world is yours to change. Baby Lincoln, Baby Lincoln, What have you been thinking, With those wide eyes observing the world? Are you reflecting on the past, maybe that last life you had? Or are, you dreaming for tomorrow? Now you just started walking, but Lincoln, when you start talking, This whole wide world is yours to change.

Recharged 03:38
Recharged When I was young, I was dumb, I let my sweetheart slip away, She soon found another one, but I stayed lonely in everyway. But now I’m back and on attack, God strike me down if I’ve not changed. I swear girl I’ll get you back, you’ll be mine again someday. I want you for mine; mine, I think about it all the time. It’s as though my heart’s been recharged and I finally feeling fine. It’s that feeling deep inside of me like everything’s aligned. Mollie, you got me feeling fine. We always said we’d wish we met a little later down the line. The future’s here, it’s been six years, darling now’s the time. So say you’ll be my confidant, my lover and my friend. Tell me that you love me, let me be your man again. I want you for mine; mine, I think about it all the time. It’s as though my heart’s been recharged and I finally feeling fine. It’s that feeling deep inside of me like everything’s aligned. Mollie, you got me feeling fine. Life ain't always easy baby, the desert’s dark at night, But I know together we can shine. Darling we’ll shine.

My Whole Life Finally I've come down, Finally I've calmed down old mind I've been stuck on the inside, I've got caught on the inside my whole life. And now the sun is rising, driving me awake. Every night I close my eyes, I realize I may not wake. I'm now living for the moment, Because the moments all we have anyway.
6.
Beware of a Dog Beware of a dog; a dog takes a bone, But a dog might bring that bone back. This old town has been keeping me round, It's been, holding me down ever since I turned nineteen, But I'm getting out, I swear I'm leaving now, I can't stand to live another year like this. So I fill my tank and pack my things, Pawn her clothes and her diamond ring, Cause I ain't never gonna love another woman like that last one, No I swear I could never find another woman quite like that last one. And it will be all better when I'm gone, It'll be all so much better when I'm gone, When I'm gone... I never thought that I would find another one, I never thought that there'd be someone to confirm my search was done, I never thought that I'd be standing here, asking for your hand, I never thought that I'd feel whole again, I never thought I'd get the chance. And then you touched me, in a way that awoke me, Now maybe I'll find myself or lose myself, But something’s bound to change, Yeah I might find myself or lose myself, But something’s gonna change.

Pualei 03:09
Pualei In a little apartment, at the base of a volcano, We made a meal and settled in for the night, When out in the darkness, a star shot above us, We each made a wish and pondered the light. In a little apartment, at the base of a volcano, We’d lay together, both on our sides, When the wind swept the branches, adjusting their stances, I pulled you close and kissed your neck from behind In a little apartment, at the base of a volcano, We’d watch the planes as they’d come and they’d go, Both knowing that someday, one would take us away, From this little apartment on the volcano.
8.
Just Two Old Friends I remember sneaking out of my house late at night. I’d meet you on the corner, beneath the lamppost light. We’d run down to the playground, on the lakeside, Laughing and holding hands from the headlights we would hide. And we’d sit up in that old wooden ship, beached like an old wreck, Or feel the summer air blow through our hair down on the swing set. And then past the pavilion, across Ocean Avenue, The cool sand beneath my feet still reminds me of those summer nights with you. But we’re just two old friends now We’d drive around these suburbs, in the winters in your car. Park outside the meeting place, that old convenience store, We were bored to death and hungry for adventure to take us hold, Naïve and uncertain, yet we were confident and bold, We’d talk about what we would do, how we’d leave this town behind, And spend our time trying to find cheap cigarettes and wine. In the morning when you’d leave me, you’d kiss my cheek and say, As long as we’re together, whatever, come what may. But we’re just two old friends now.

'Goodbye, Zen5, Sushi Dinner' is the sophomore release from singer/songwriter EdTang. An introspective look into the line that separates the dates of a headstone... this is an album about hope, longing, and the waning twilight of youth.

"Everyone, when they are young, knows what their destiny is. At that point in their lives, everything is clear and everything is possible. They are not afraid to dream, and to yearn for everything they would like to see happen to them in their lives. But, as time passes, a mysterious force begins to convince them that it will be impossible for them to realize their destiny..." -Paulo Coelho, 'The Alchemist'

This is an album about that struggle.
